He received his medical degree in 1984 from the University Of Arizona College Of Medicine and three years later completed his residency there in pediatrics. He practiced as a general pediatrician in Tucson, Arizona for 14 years, with a special interest in Behavioral problems such as ADHD and Autism. He then completed a 2 year fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona under the leadership of Dr. Andrew Weil. He is the first graduate of this program to be in pediatric practice in the United States. Dr. Newmark has been married for 30 years and has 2 grown children.
