Lisa Bravo, MC, LPC, LISAC, NCC, is the Founder of ParentwoRx™ and a Certified Nurtured Heart Trainer & Therapist. She has 20 years of experience in the areas of parenting, behavior management, mental health counseling, crisis, chemical dependency, consultation and training. She is the proud mother of two and is raising her children based on ENERGYPARENTING principles. It is through her vast experiences with families and children that she has come to believe that traditional methods of parenting are not effective with challenging children. Connecting with children in an intense and emotional way when things are going well is the key to turning things around. Lisa is a co-author with Howard Glasser of "Transforming the Difficult Child: The Nurtured Heart Approach Workbook." Lisa is also a regular presenter at Howard Glasser's Advanced Training held in Januarys in Tucson, Arizona. "I have three children, ages 10, 7, and 4. My 7 year old was especially challenging and out of control. Last year when she was placed in a special ed classroom and on medication we hoped for a miracle. Things only got worse until we met Lisa at one of her parent trainings. We hired her to work with us as our parenting coach and began to implement the approach in our home. We had found our miracle! Within a few short weeks, we had a NEW family. Our daughter even went back into a regular classroom before the year was over. Today, she is a vivacious, beautiful, and loving girl. We had no idea it could be so good! Thank you, Lisa, for saving our family!" -- Debra, Mesa, AZ "Lisa has helped me see how powerful the Nurtured Heart Approach can be! It works with all students, not just "difficult" children. With Lisa's guidance, I've seen instant changes in my teaching and in my students" - Amy Ditton, Teacher/Teacher Coach "We had an angry, defiant, out of control 15-year-old son. He was running away, drinking and ditching school. We were considering sending him to a boot camp. Lisa helped us understand the dynamic that was in play and helped us implement the approach in our home. It was so successful that after a few weeks the school called and asked if we had put him on medication, because he had changed so noticeably. We are so grateful to have our son back. It's been over a year now and we have had nothing but success with our son. Finding Lisa was a Godsend. Thank you" - Rob and Sherri P. ,Scottsdale, AZ "Lisa Bravo is a therapist like none other. She has a way of getting even the toughest kids to respond. When I have referred kids to her for court ordered treatment they have improved tremendously. I highly recommend her and would send my own child to her" - a juvenile probation officer in Mesa, AZ "Lisa helped us get our lives back. Our 6-year-old twins were running the show. It was so bad that we could not even go to birthday parties or family events, because we were so embarrassed about the way they acted. They would throw tantrums at the drop of a hat. Our marriage began to suffer and we even talked about divorce. Lisa broke down the steps we needed to take in order to get our lives back. We began to try the techniques of the approach, and we finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel. Today we have two very happy, well-adjusted 7-1/2 year olds." Joe and Bonnie G. (Chandler, AZ) "Lisa's talent is evident in her outcomes with children often providing effective interventions for individuals perceived as extremely difficult and hard to treat. I also appreciate her willingness to act as a consultant in teaching others and sharing her talent, insight, and success with youth and families and to professionals seeking similar outcomes. I highly recommend her services for anyone seeking a successful outcome with children and families" - Michelle McNew, Psychiatric Nurse Practioner, Tempe, AZ
